  • STD Test and HIV transmission risk-oral

Hi Doctor, Im male having sex with men. Im not very active in this type of sex. My sex life usually wont be involving penetrative sex. i used to receive unprotective oral sex from guys and i will cum inside their mouth. Occasionaly i also will suck them. As per my last sex activity with a guy by last 31 st May 2020 i used to cum inside his mouth, licked his nipple, fingering his anal. His HiV status were unknown. So far i never had any symptoms in my body.I had given my blood sample for STD test today and my results will be coming out on Monday. I feel worried and anxious whether am i risk of getting HIV. All these while i only having lite fun (oral sex, cuddling, nipple suck only. I desperately need your advise on this. Please help me. Doc.

    Hi Inidan89.

Low risk for HIV transmission. However, will need blood tests to be sure.

Hi Doc, thanks for your response. Low risk means do i still will be infected with HIV. Need some clarification. So far i did not involved in any vaginal, or anal sex (penetrative sex). Im waiting for test results which will get by monday. I feel so worried and anxious. Cant even sleep also. How much is low risk involving MSM fellatio where most of its insertive. So far i had did fellatio with 5 mens in 7 years period.

      Appreciate your reply in this...

        Hi Inidan89,

The risk is approximately 0.0001% from a positive partner for insertive oral sexual intercouse. This is based on US CDC MMWR data.
