    Hi there. P24 antigen (the antigen tested in 4th gen testing) can be detected in the blood on average after 16 days post exposure. So, as per your question, yes, the chances of false negative are definitely high. Do repeat the test 28 days post exposure.

    Today, I did a HIV 4th generation antigen/antibody test after 15 days exposure and it returned negative. Can I check is my false-positive chance quite high?
