Rapid Trichomonas Testing: Results in 1 Day
Trichomonas vaginalis is a sexually transmitted disease which affects both males and females. Globally, WHO estimates that there are more than 200 million infections in 2015 which makes it one of the most prevalent non-viral sexually transmitted diseases.
It has been associated with increased risk of HIV infection by 2-3 times. It can also cause infertility in males and can result in pre-term birth for pregnant women. Importantly in majority of infection, both males and females have no symptoms. Thus, resulting in transmitting the infection to your partner unknowingly.

Rapid STD Test for Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
What is Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Infection?
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections are so common that nearly all men and women will get at least one type of HPV at some point in their lives. There are more than 150 strains of HPV viruses.
HPV infections can cause:
- cancers of the cervix, vagina, and vulva in women;
- cancers of the penis in men; and
- cancers of the anus and back of the throat, including the base of the tongue and tonsils (oropharynx), in both women and men.
The group of HPV that may cause cancer is generally referred to as high-risk HPV group. In many cases, it takes decades after the initial infection with the high-risk HPV group before cancer develops and mentioned previously, most people do not know that they have been infected as there are usually no symptoms.

At DTAP Clinic, we recognize the importance of testing and detecting early for the high-risk HPV group especially in women and also in men who engage in sex with men as they may be infected with high-risk HPV but are unaware of it as there are usually no symptoms after the infection.
As such we are offering next working day results for Rapid HPV testing of the high-risk HPV.
This is a highly sensitive test (>90%) that detects the presence of high-risk HPV using the technology of detecting the DNA of the high-risk HPV group.

Rapid STD Test for Herpes Simplex Virus 1 & 2
Detect Herpes Simplex Virus 1 and 2 with a single test.
This is a new STD Herpes Testing offered by DTAP Clinics that offer fast (next working day) and accurate testing for Herpes Simples Virus 1 and 2 (HSV 1 and HSV 2) concurrently. It detects for the DNA of the virus from samples taken from the blisters and ulcers.
This is different from the usual HSV 1 and HSV 2 antibody blood test which may not accurately tell you whether the blisters/ ulcers you have are due to HSV 1/2.

Blood test for HSV only detects the antibodies to the virus and may not reflect that the current symptoms are due to HSV as in the majority of cases, once a person has been infected with HSV 1/2, the antibodies may remain positive for life.
The Rapid HSV test offered by DTAP Clinic detects for the DNA of the HSV 1/2 virus using PCR which is accurate and rapid.
The Rapid Herpes Simplex Virus 1/2 test for the presence of the virus DNA in the blisters and ulcers.
The test detects both HSV 1 and 2 at the same time and can differentiate them.
